DuraLux builds theirs from heavy vinyl with 6½ inch square posts, 2 x 8 beams, 2 x 6 joists, and stainless steel fasteners throughout. Most styles use angled top slats that block roughly 75 percent of the sun, so it stays comfortable on hot afternoons without feeling closed in.
Because the pergola sits on your deck or patio, the structure underneath matters. When we design your project, we plan the footings, framing, and layout so the pergola is anchored right and lines up with the rest of the space.

Yes. It can sit on a deck, attach to the house, or stand on its own by a pool or patio. On a deck, we plan the framing and footings so the posts are properly supported.
What colors can I choose?
DuraLux pergolas come in white, tan, and adobe.
How much shade does it give?
Most styles use angled top slats that block about 75 percent of the sun. The Padova has an open top, and outdoor blinds are available if you want more.
