Liquid Lifestyles – Multi-Level Composite Deck by Container Pool
Liquid Lifestyles – Multi-Level Composite Deck Around a Container Pool
When Liquid Lifestyles launched their first state-of-the-art swim school with shipping-container pools, they trusted DreamDecks to bring the vision to life. That project set the tone — precise engineering, premium materials, and a build that not only looked exceptional but performed flawlessly for years of high-volume use.
So when it came time to open their second location in North Royalton, Ohio, they came straight back to us to raise the bar even higher.
Expanding on a Proven Design
The first facility was a milestone, but North Royalton was built to go bigger. With larger pools, 56 linear feet of underwater viewing windows, and a layout that allows for future expansion to a third pool, the project required every lesson we’d learned from the first build — plus new innovations to handle increased capacity and client comfort.
Engineered for Performance and Safety
Working from detailed architectural plans by Mayer Architects, we built a multi-level composite deck system around the container pools. The structure used:
Duxxback composite decking for a durable, water-shedding surface with hidden fasteners and color-matched screws
Engineered No. 1 pressure-treated framing lumber with 6×6 support posts anchored by Simpson Strong-Tie hardware
Trex Select 42″ composite rail with black aluminum balusters for code-compliant safety without blocking sightlines
Built-up beam assemblies and guard post-to-rim joist connections to commercial load requirements
Every post, beam, and joist was cut, fit, and secured to match the precise tolerances needed for a pool deck environment — where moisture, heavy foot traffic, and constant use demand absolute precision.
ADA Accessibility and Guest Comfort
The layout includes a typical ADA pool lift framing system, providing secure anchorage for accessibility equipment. Surrounding the pools, the deck slopes subtly toward the water for controlled drainage without creating tripping hazards.
We also worked with the facility’s electrical contractors to integrate overhead lighting, large-format ceiling fans, and low-voltage systems for security and performance monitoring.
Purpose-Built for a Swim School
The North Royalton location was designed around the way Liquid Lifestyles runs their programs. Parents have unobstructed views of the lessons from the deck, instructors can move quickly between pools, and traffic flow is seamless even on the busiest days.
The Result
From the first cut of framing lumber to the last railing cap, DreamDecks delivered a commercial pool deck that’s as functional as it is beautiful. Just like the first Liquid Lifestyles build, it’s a space designed to work hard, last long, and make a striking first impression.
Two locations. One vision. One builder who knows how to make it happen.
